Carrot Crumble Halwa

Dig into a halwa that’s so irresistible, you’ll find yourself over indulging but never feel guilty about doing so. This recipe is easy to make too, so it has just about everything working in its favour.

Ingredients for the crumble:
• ¾ cup Storia® Beverage Whitener
• ½ cup all purpose flour
• 3 Tablespoons of sugar
• 2 Tablespoons of cornstarch
• 6 Tablespoons of melted butter

• Preheat oven to 150° C
• Combine Storia® Beverage Whitener, flour, sugar and cornstarch in a mixing bowl
• Add the butter and stir with a fork until clusters form
• Spread the mixture evenly on a prepared sheet
• Bake for 10 minutes until the crumbs are dry yet pale

Ingredients for the halwa:
• 2 cups of grated red carrots
• 2 Tablespoons of Storia® Beverage Whitener
• 2 Tablespoons of sugar
• 2 Tablespoons of ghee
• 1 Tablespoon of poppy seeds
• ¼ Tablespoon of elaichi powder

• Heat the ghee in a flat pan
• Roast the poppy seeds for a minute
• Add the grated carrots and cook for ten minutes
• Add Storia® Beverage Whitener, sugar and seasoning
• Cook for five more minutes

Saffron Chia Pudding

• 200 ml tepid water
• 4 Tablespoons of Storia® Beverage Whitener
• 3 Tablespoons of sugar/honey
• 4 Tablespoons of Chia Seeds
• Pinch of saffron

• Combine Storia® Beverage Whitener with some water in a mixing bowl and whisk thoroughly until there are no lumps
• Add the sweetener of your choice and saffron then whisk again
• Finally, stir in the Chia seeds
• Cover it and refrigerate overnight
• Serve chilled
• Top with some dried rose petals and pistachio slivers

• Make milk with Storia White Magic (Add 140 gm of Storia White Magic to 1000 ml water)
• Boil for 10 min and then add 100 gm of sugar.
• Boil till you reach a desired consistency.
• Add dry fruits for garnishing.

• Make milk with Storia White Magic (Add 21-25 gm Storia White Magic to 150ml of water)
• Roast 40 gm of rawa in ghee until golden brown.
• Add 150 ml milk to the mixture and mix properly.
• Add 30 gm of sugar and cover the lid for 5-10min.

• Make milk with Storia White Magic. (Add 140 gm of Storia White Magic to 1000 ml water)
• Bring the milk to boil on medium heat. Stir frequently.
• Once it comes to a boil, reduce the flame to medium–low.
• Stir occasionally till it becomes 1/3 of its original volume.
• Add 100 gm of sugar. Mix well and simmer till sugar melts.
• Add 1.2 gm of cardamom powder and 3-4 sliced almonds and pistachios. Mix well.
• Let it cool completely. It will thicken as it cools.
• Once it cools down to room temperature, pour into moulds.
• Cover it with lid or aluminium foil.
• Let it set overnight in a freezer.
• Once it is set or frozen, remove from the mould.
• To remove kulfi from mould, dip it into warm water for 1-2 seconds only.
• Garnish with some chopped nuts like pistachio or almonds.
